To replace the small WordPress icon, also known as the favicon, with your own, follow these steps:
- Prepare your custom icon: Create a square image in .png or .ico format that is 16×16 pixels or 32×32 pixels. Save it with a file name of your choice.
- Upload your custom icon to your WordPress site: Log in to your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity, and click on the “Select Site Icon” button. Upload your custom icon and click on “Save & Publish.”
- Clear your browser cache: In some cases, the browser cache may prevent the new icon from displaying. Clear your browser cache and reload the page to see the new icon.
That’s it! Your custom icon should now be displayed in the browser tab next to your WordPress site URL.
