I have been working with Adempiere since 2010, and now with iDempiere. My development machines evolved from an ASUS Notebook running Windows, to an Apple MacBook Pro 15″, and finally to a Dell XPS 13″ with Touch Screen.
After purchasing the Dell XPS 9370, I reinstalled the operating system with Ubuntu 18.04. This turned out to be a critical decision. I found the performance on Ubuntu to be remarkably high, overthrowing the long-held position of MacOS as the irreplaceable OS in my mind.
This machine is the secret weapon of choice for ERP developers.
